Using Agia Efimia as your base, you can plan local excursions to Melissani Lake, about a 15-minute drive away, near the village of Karavomilos with its charming duck pond and old waterwheel. A few minutes further lies the port of Sami, which offers ferry connections to Ithaca and the Greek mainland, along with a good selection of shops and restaurants. Myrtos Beach is just 9 km away, while the famous Antisamos and Agia Paraskevi beaches are also nearby.
